Summary: My husband and I first stayed at one of Ralph’s cabins 3 years ago and fell in love with the region and the property. I’m happy to report that our second stay at a different property (Indian River Cabin) did not disappoint! The cabin was clean and well-appointed. Great craftsmanship and detail. The stocked kitchen allowed us to cook a number of delicious meals with food from Miller’s, a local market nearby. Couch, bed and sheets were very comfortable, shower was perfect. The land was private and pristine. The river was mesmerizing and the sound of rushing water was so relaxing. We watched the water from the swing above and got down there to explore a bunch too. We enjoyed hopping across the rocks, fly fishing, and even found a great swimming hole down the path along the river. We had two great campfires in the well-designed pit with the river as our backdrop. We saw a deer and many birds including 3 robin hatchlings that became fledglings while we were there. They left the nest the morning we checked out, it was pretty magical. We made it to Tug River Winery as well, very nice. Highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by natural beauty. It restores our sense of wonder, we’ll be back!

Summary: My family had a great time at the Independence River Cabin. We are from Florida and this was our first time to upstate NY. The kids loved exploring the property. The river was a little rough right behind the cabin, but if you walk up the river a bit, there is a nice calm area to get in the water. The location was amazing - not too far from grocery stores, but far enough to feel totally secluded. We loved sleeping with the windows open and hearing the river. Definitely recommend this cabin.

Summary: I can't say enough about how fantastic this property is. There were 4 of u staying, with our dogs. Fantastic riverside firepit and the most soothing sound of the river running over the rapids all night long. Swimming in the various waterholes in the river was refreshing. The owner had Kayaks for us to use on the local lakes, which are numerous. Lots of hiking nearby. The kitchen and all appliances were modern, cable tv and internet and just the most relaxing wonderful furnishings. we will be back. Oh, and order the maple syrup. Delish!

Summary: Lovely cabin in a remote area. We loved the peace and quiet and listening to the river. Also, nice and close to lots of great hiking with no one around on the trails. We had a great time!

Summary: A beautiful super clean cabin right on the river. My husband and 2 boys (7 & 4) enjoyed our time disconnecting. We hiked the beautiful property and the kids had a blast throwing rocks in the river. Visited Agers Falls, which was breathtaking. We ended each night roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. A perfect getaway!

Summary: Super clean, well-appointed cozy cabin. We spent a cold, winter weekend in front of the woodstove and out on the local hiking trails. Beautiful setting. Meticulously maintained. Plenty of room for four or five adults. Lots to do on the property and nearby in the Independence River Wilderness area. Looking forward to returning in the future.
